One year ago today we left the house at 6:15am and headed to the hospital with hopes of meeting our new little bundle of joy. What a day that was! It started out with Brian backing out of the garage and into my Mom's new car :) and ended with us holding a beautiful 7lb 1oz baby boy named Parker Jesse. Parker's first weeks of life were rather traumatic for all of us with him having heart surgery when he was 3wks old and spending his first month at Akron Children's Hospital. Today he is almost 20lbs (I'll find out the exact weight at his Dr appointment on Thursday). Crawling, pulling up on furniture and getting into everything! He hasn't started walking yet but that will come soon enough. On Sunday we celebrated his birthday with the family at our house. The cake was made out of cupcakes and in the shape of a teddy bear. Parker's was 2 cupcakes stacked on top of each other.
What a mess! Although he didn't make all of that mess by himself...his Dad had a hand in it too! I had to give him a bath before we could open the presents!
Zachary has claimed this airplane as his...it's a good thing Parker's not old enough to know better or there would be some fighting.
A big thank you to our family for celebrating Parker's 1st birthday with us!
