Chocolate Oreo Cookie Cake

1 box of your favorite chocolate cake mix

4 squares Baker's semi-sweet baking chocolate

1/4 cup butter

1 pkg cream cheese, softened

1/2 cup sugar

2 cups cool whip, thawed

12 Oreo cookies, coarsely crushed

Prepare and bake cake mix as directed on package in 2 9" round cake pans.

Cool cake completely.

Melt chocolate in microwave. Blend in butter. Set aside to slightly thicken, about 5min.

Beat cream cheese and sugar until well blended. Gently stir in cool whip and crushed cookies. Place 1 of the cake layers on a serving plate. Spread top of layer with cream cheese mixture. Top with remaining cake layer. Spoon chocolate glaze over top of cake.

I didn't have the chocolate squares to melt so I used chocolate icing instead.
